AUSTRALIAN MEN ARE SUFFERING and the OBVIOUS SIGNS ARE MANY ...

1. Domestic Violence & Abuse
At record highs. 97,800 family and domestic violence offenders recorded by police in 2024–25 — the highest rate ever. Up 8% in a single year. One woman killed by a partner every nine days.

2. Male Mental Health
One in five Australian men are battling a mental illness right now. Across a lifetime, nearly one in two. And for men aged 15 to 44, the number one cause of death isn't cancer or car crashes. It's suicide.

3. Suicide by Age Group
2,529 men died by suicide in 2024. Five working-age men a day. Men 40–44 are the hardest hit group. Men 55–59 have seen the steepest rise — up 22%. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men die by suicide at four times the national rate.

4. Drug & Alcohol Addiction
Up to half a million Australians can't get treatment — waitlists stretch 3 to 6 months. We're only treating 30–48% of those who need help. People in crisis are falling through the gap every day.

5. Sperm Rates Declining
Down more than 50% since 1973 — and accelerating. Australian men are part of a global crisis that researchers are calling a threat to the human species.

YOGI BOGAN It starts a sizzle for the series and a the Hero song called "I Got Nothing"  and I need your help to join the Band and i'll record it properly and bring it to screen.

MY WHY ???????

About a year ago, my father passed away. Around the same time, my son hit puberty. Between those two things, I went through the full spectrum of human emotion grief, joy, everything in between and it knocked me straight back onto my heart's path in a way I'd never felt before.

Something unlocked in me. The dream I had at ten years old to make music, theatre, comedy and drama with a deeper message for humanity .. it was suddenly undeniable again. It's time. This is my legacy. My love letter to life. And I'm making it and have been writing it for may years and only now piecing together to fruition, one step at a time. 

This is the first major step of a much bigger undertaking and dream,   a seven-part TV musical drama-comedy series I've written and want to bring to full-scale production. Step One now I have a strong Pilot Script and a great skeletion for the rest of the series, recording the hero song and putting together a sizzle reel that I can take to production companies, alongside an outline of what the series is really about.

And here's my big why. We're watching domestic violence and homicide rates at all-time highs, overwhelmingly men as perpetrators, women as victims. We're in a mental health crisis. A suicide crisis. Boys are growing into men without any real rite of passage to guide them. Women and children deserve to feel safe  in their homes, in their communities, everywhere and statistics dont reflect that. I was abused as a BOY at Home and School and Community and want this to STOP IN MY GENERATION ... I want my Children's Children's Children to look back at US and see how we turned things around 

We've got work to do, men and boys, coming together in a place of non-hierarchy, talking about these problems, supporting each other's growth, and finding real freedom to express emotion and feeling and everything life has to offer. A lot of the problem is that men are living in their heads, propping up a story, running around chasing money, meanwhile addicted, lethargic, without the support to be at their optimum physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually on this walk here on Earth. nIve been there more than once.

Yogi Bogan plans to change that, for men across this country and across the world with Indigenous wisdom, modern wisdom, science, song and dance, and connection to the Mother Earth without whom none of this the planets, the cosmos, this whole experience would even be possible.

We're born, and we die, and in the middle, we garden. This is some of that gardening trimming away the bullshit, and letting new shoots grow within men, and within unity.

I can't build this alone. Come with me. Let's live the dream, rather than just talk about it.
