Ben CosfordHi Friends, i wanted to send an email to once again express my thankfulness to you all for your generous support of my pozible campaign to record "Songs for Freedom". The recording process was an absolute joy working with my band and also Joseph Cheek from Island Recording Studio in Adelaide. All such amazing and fun people. The recording process was a little daunting for me in the lead up just not having done it before and wanting to record the best possible music we could. The day before we hit the studio I was pretty stressed. But once i got there on the day it was like going to a playground with so many awesome guitar amps and mics to play with. All the stresses then melted away and it was a super fun relaxed 4 days of recording. i'm so thankful to my wife Heather too for freeing me up to be away for 5 days to focus on recording and holding the fort back home. It made a big difference. We are now in the mixing phase which involves Joseph mixing each song and then sending each song to me for reviewing and revisions that i want made. Up to three review/revision rounds for each song. We are getting close to the end of that process, but it takes time. Once that is complete the album needs mastering and then releasing. I have been spending a lot of time trying to understand the release process and how to do that well so that people actually hear about the album and listen to it after all the time, finances, effort and support that has gone into producing the album. So thanks, its still coming along, as are the associated rewards. We havent forgotten. For the Story Ben Cosford 5y
