Hear ye hear ye, roll up and step up, listeners of great music, consumers of great art, lovers and fighters: Dane Blacklock and the Preacher's Daughter have been working on their horrifying debut album for over ten years. The Lonesome March of Wilson Tumbleweed will be a multimedia grime-blues, doom-folk concept album, a tale of the bloody and hardscrable plight of Wilson Tumbleweed and his sister, Ophelia, as they traverse underworlds of crime and depravity to be together.
The band will release their thirteen track epic with an accompanying novella, and an animatic digital album cover, all presented on a beautiful usb drive set into a snake oil bottle. But they need your help! Dane and co rustled up enough cash and favours to get through most of the principle recording, hunkered down in a rusty chicken shed on the Mornington Peninsula. But now that gravy train has pulled out of the station and the band need more funds to finish things off, to pay for the album to be mastered and packaged and to fund a spectacular album launch party for all of you.
We are asking you to pledge any amount of money to help bring to fruition a project which has been laboured over by many a talented artisan for many a backbreaking year. But not for nothing oh glorious audience! You will be compensated! You will be sent things in exchange for your pledges; wonderful, terrible things.
