Tom BammannTim,

The funding is for the report, not to fund any private businesses. It's well within Pozible's charter to fund research which may benefit the world.

I'm sorry that your pre-formed judgement of nuclear power generation doesn't allow you to remain open-minded about the topic and engage in factual discussion. Although, what harm could be done by actually supporting this report to be published, then reading it, before criticizing it? If you really want to criticise it, the weighting of your criticism may even be improved if you demonstrate that you've read it.

With reference to your question regarding the 'feelings' of Fukushima residents, yes I'm sure indeed that they would have been quite upset, especially with the great deal of hype that the media and anti-nuclear folk dish out. I would be too, if I were uneducated about nuclear technologies, didn't have access to the facts regarding what was going on, and was fed propaganda via the media, designed to increase sales of newspapers and magazines and TV ratings, etc.

How about we put 'feelings' aside, and look at some hard numbers and facts about nuclear safety and decarbonisation. Maybe even, put some facts into your arguments. Help fund this report so the public can become just a little bit better educated, and make up their mind about the role of nuclear power generation in Australia's future based on facts - not feelings.

If your real concern is purely regarding Pozible's charter, then commenting your concern here probably won't get through to your target audience. I'd suggest writing to Pozzible here: http://www.pozible.com/index.php/help/contact12y

Tim WhiteDON'T FUND THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY... THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER DESERVING
RESEARCH PROJECTS WHICH CAN HELP REDUCE CARBON EMISSIONS.12y

Tim WhiteThis is utterly appalling. Since when was Pozible founded to provide a platform for the nuclear industry - a heavily funded international business with lobbyists pushing this
dangerous, unstable and potential source of weapons-grade materials? If its such a safe option ask residents and workers who once had homes near the Fukushima Reactor in Japan how they feel about 'safe, clean' nukes.
Doug Boreham is an employee of the nuclear power industry. He does not represent a balanced view of the issue.
That this - essentially a plug for multinational business got past any filters on the Pozible-side surely raises questions about their criteria for funding projects.
Where to next Pozible: Funding Gina Rinehart's next mining industry dinner?
Tim White12y
