Hi! My name is Anya Anastasia, I'm a composer, producer and musician living on Peramangk country in the Adelaide Hills.

I'm interested in wild innovative sonic textures, melodic vocal layering, and rich storytelling about the natural world and our place in it. I play guitar in my own kinda way which is influenced by art/experimental rock, Tuareg desert blues, with strong roots in folk music too.

I'm so excited to let you know that my debut album ‘Everspring’ is finished! This album has been five years in the making!

Please help me get it pressed to vinyl (and make CDs) by pre-ordering, or contributing what you can to my crowd-funding campaign. Go on... have a little explore around here the prizes whimsical, wild and abundant!

Welcome to the world of 'Everspring', may your cup overfloweth.

Everspring is an album packed with personality and alive with tone, texture, feeling and meaning.

It has been a labour of love and sheer force of will, recorded and imagined over five years and captured in weird and wonderful ways.

From singing into a 75 metre slide in a playground, to recording bugs underground in remote rainforest wilderness. Cello blasted through a Marshall Stack in a valley, to tenderly crooning hundreds of vocal layers in a home studio while my babies slept in the room next door.  All the time with reverence for, and joy in the natural world, while side-eyeing my dense slab of accumulated existential dread induced by the harrowing effects of late-stage capitalism, and gawping at timeless ethereal enigmas with a mix of wonder, and fear.

I recorded vocals and guitars at my home studio, and spent thousands of hours arranging, deconstructing and rearranging these songs til I felt they were the absolute embodiment of the experiences and waterways that inspired them, with some knowledge of, but brazen disregard for convention when it came to both making and capturing sound, I delved for tones that conjured just the right atmosphere and feeling.

I also did much of the recoding at Forest Range Studios, collaborating with my wondrous co-producer Lucinda Machin, and of course members of my stellar band... We had so many incredible, memorable moments throughout.

I am so proud to have climbed this mountain in the clouds, reached far out into the cosmos and been able to return alive, with 'Everspring', to give to you.

I want to be able to give it to you, or other strangers, fellow human beings in this wild world. To hold in your hands.

Please, if you can, help me press this to vinyl and set these precious songs into valleyed grooves that a needle can translate into sound in your living room at your leisure, eternal. And create CDs to accompany you on your road trips, or transform your commute into a wilderness on wheels.

The vinyl will be pressed with colour regrind using the most environmentally sustainable process available, read about it here.
