The Balfour Correspondent
During 1912, fourteen-year old Sylvia McArthur, writes to a Tasmanian newspaper from Balfour, in the Tarkine. Author James Dryburgh answers her letters, forgotten for a century, creating a strangely powerful dialogue across time and space. A haunting and evocative portrait of this young woman and the heart of the Tarkine where she lived and died. With maps, photos and sketches. Published by Bob Brown Foundation.
